Our speakers bring substantial experience in guiding researchers through career decisions: Sarah Blackford, a career consultant and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy who has spent over 25 years supporting the career development of postgraduate and early-career researchers across Europe, and Evgeniya Vorobyeva, ACC, Career Coach at EPFL, ICF-certified, with a research background at MSU and ETH Zürich and extensive experience supporting scientists through coaching and mentoring.
During the event, Sarah will outline key principles of career planning for researchers, while Evgeniya will talk about approaches to navigating career transitions and the role of structured mentoring, including Sci.STEPS mentoring program experience. The session will be rounded up with a Q&A about career building, mentoring, and Sci.STEPS Program.
This meeting is a great opportunity to learn more about navigating career changes, the ways mentoring can support researchers at different stages, Sci.STEPS upcoming mentoring season, founding team and community.

Dinara Sharipova is a PhD student in Developmental Biology at the University of Potsdam, Germany. She completed both BSc and MSc in Cell Biology and Genetics at Novosibirsk State University, Russia.
Dinara is an author of a Telegram channel for students applying to Master’s and PhD programs abroad, sharing resources, tips, and program opportunities.
She successfully passed the selection stages for 9 competitive PhD programs across Europe, receiving multiple offers from Germany, Switzerland, and France. Developed broad international research experience through projects and internships in Russia, the Netherlands, Germany, and the United States.
